I was a volleyball member when I was in high school. My life has changed since I became a full time barista in Starbucks Coffee Café in Malaysia. Not only my daily activities have changed, but I have also been changed many ways.
I have more responsibilities before, and I became more confident and strong. I usually watch anime every night, but if I work in morning shift, I have to sleep early as I need to wake up at 6.am. As a barista, I need to know what is multi-tasking which is meant you are able to do a lot of task in the same time. Beginning, I need to know how to clean the café, where to stock up all the resources. Not only I have to know how to make a cup of good coffee but I have also learned to be a politely and professional cashier. We are also called as partners. My work time, which was flexible, depended on the partner’s schedule.
We have also needed to know our customer very well like remember their names, favorite drinks and so and so forth. I used to be girl who likes to stay at home, but now I almost spent my time in my workplace. It was a busy store during public holidays or weekends. I have to work overtime even though I have already finished my shift. I used to work from morning shift until midnight. I was totally exhausted but I enjoyed the every moment with my lovely partners.
I have also changed by making friends. I made a lot of new friends. They are all good and friendly. They are good to communicate to each other, and easy to close with. Moreover, I have close friends. I feel as if they are my brothers and sisters. In our spare time, I enjoyed to hang out with them, shopping or just talking and laughing together. It is a wonderful and worthwhile brotherhood.
